On gays, drugs and news
however, there is a serious lag between penning dwn my thots & their transit to bloggerland.
there was some extensive reporting on CNB's crackdown on gay drug abusers thru online chatrooms.
i thot it was such a skewed report. the 2 cases are namely the teacher and the doctor who agreed to mit the CNB personnel wif drugs and were subsequently apprehended. surely CNB can boast of many times more of the 2 cases that were highlighted in the news? y were the 2 cases singled out for extensive reporting?
i feel tat it's pure bias against the sexual inclination of the offenders. somehow the method used by CNB in luring out the offenders seems like a blow below the belt.
while i'm sure there r many many more times the number of offenders who r heterosexual, y doesn't CNB apply the same tactic & lure these offenders out? y target onli the gay community?
sometimes, i m beli disappointed by the quality or rather the screening done to the 'official' news namely on TV & television. even radio stations are so controlled. there's no freedom of speech in sg yet the suppression will onli lead to a greater reaction and in tis IT age, there is no lack of avenues for expressing our views as well as reading the 'real' news.
under karen & alex's strong recommendation, i haf made a switch in my morning station from class 95 to UFM 1003 and i haben regretted my decision since.
the healthy xchange of views & candid remarks often bring on the smiles & few chuckles. and i luv getting the brain juices flowing while following the xchange. kinda like warm-up exercises for my brain. will blog more abt the topics tat were covered on the programme which i found beli interesting and my take on it.
