Users of Certain ThinkPad Notebooks Must Replace Recalled Batteries

ZY was telling mi tat if i use AC adaptor wif the batt, the batt will spoil easily.

well, i had no idea where the batt is and how to remove it so the guys gave a demo.

after one or 2 attempts, i decided it was much too troublesome to keep removing and attaching the batt and wat if i forget to bring the batt when i visit my clients??!!

yest, i got tis email about batt being recalled.

Lenovo and IBM have determined that batteries for certain ThinkPad notebook computers may overheat and/or pose a fire risk. Therefore, they are recalling these batteries and offering free replacements.

i'm using a T43 and yes, mine's been recalled. and my new batt should b on its way to mi.

you can check if your batt has been recalled at tis site

tis is the confirmation i got. the email follows shortly.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

You will receive an email confirmation with this number. Please keep it for future reference.

We will notify you by email once your battery has been shipped. The email will include tracking information for your replacement battery. Please allow 4 to 6 weeks for your replacement battery to arrive.

Again, we apologize for the inconvenience. While you await your replacement battery, you may continue to use your ThinkPad safely by turning off the system, removing the battery, and powering your system using an AC adapter.
