Power Failure!!

My office was impacted. i didn't realise the extent of the blackout.

my initial thot was someone had used unauthorised equipment tat could haf caused a power trip on my floor.

when i realised other floors were also impacted, i thot mayb it was a building specific prob...we had no idea wat was going on till i saw tis piece of news at 6pm (after the power had come on, of course)

Singapore says power restored after brief outage

SINGAPORE, Dec 21 (Reuters) - Singapore's energy regulator said power supply had been restored across the island following a brief outage late on Thursday in various parts of the city-state.

The power outage was caused by the tripping of two power generating plants at Senoko Power station, which supplies about a third of Singapore's energy needs.

"Power has been restored at 1640 hours (0840 GMT)," a spokeswoman for the Energy Market Authority told Reuters, adding that both generators were being repaired.

Senoko Power Ltd. was unavailable for comment. Singapore had reported brief blackouts earlier on Thursday afternoon, affecting mostly the northern and north-western parts of the island.
