Running on Empty
I am prone to giddy spells coz of my low blood (and iron deficiency).
drinking more den 2 cups of green tea in the afternoon can bring on giddy spells too. I quickly counteract the effects wif a cup of chrysanthemum on fri coz i thot the sugar should help and it worked.
i haf kicked the long time habit of having bfast. sometimes, i don't even feel hungry in the morning. den the giddy spell hits mi or my stomach starts growling at 11 plus, like tdy.
so i make myself a thick cup of milo to 充饥 while waiting for lunch.
whenever i go abt for hrs wifout any food after getting up, the thot tat i'm 'running on empty' keeps repeating in my mind. i wonder if i will collapse suddenly from hunger...haha...tat thot is pretty scary. tink i'll put having bfast on my 2007 list of resolutions.
and my calcium level isn't optimum according to the recent test i did in the office. though i like milk, i juz don't haf the habit of drinking milk regularly.
i juz threw away an expired carton of HL milk which i bought for YY last week. see! i didn't even tink of drinking the milk though it's in the fridge for a wk. definitely gotta change.
mi will get more & more long-winded as i rattle on abt wat i wana change/do in 2007 as well as reflect on wat was accomplished in 2006 ( which is a lot, a lot, a lot too! )
juz 2 wks back, i started using the notebook from my company's Women's Interest Network. i stuck my 窑窕淑女 postcard on the cover and i m pleased wif it.
each day, i would write the julian date, day of the wk as well as actual date in YYYYMMDD
my first entry looks like this :
324/365 Mon 20061120
tis system reminds mi of organisers whereby the julian date is shown as well as the no. of days left in the yr.
today reads 338/365, onli 27 days left in 2006.
wat better time to rejoice on wat has been completed in 2006 and start planning for 2007.
i m lucky! to haf the privilege of planning days, wks, mths and yrs ahead. there are others ard us who do not haf tis privilege. they live by secs, mins, hrs, days at a time. finding time to do good for others will continue to b on my list of 'to dos'
Skirts
Skirts are back wif a vengence!
after nearly a yr of swearing off skirts for pants, i haf decided to retract my fashion statement and start wearing skirts again.
my goal for tis week is to tidy up my clothes and do watever is necessary for a functional wardrobe, eg. ironing and alterations.
i finally got ard to 'refurnbishing' the bag tat marie got mi from shanghai last x'mas. the handle was peeling off badly but i like the bag so much tat i bought some cordoury ribbon and wrapped the handles.
now i tink it looks and feels great!

I regreted not eating regularly when I was in my previous hectic job coz I developed GERD (some reflux problem) thereafter. So dun wait till it's too late to develop a good eating habit!
