Dinner wif Clarence

after the bad lunch experience at pizza hut, i was compensated wif a good dinner wif clarence @ bugis TCC.

i was surprised tat tis young man is wise beyond his yrs and has such long term plans. impressed man!

i do see alot of similarities bet my experiences and his. in particular our chinese schooling background! haha...i told him abt my theory of chinese ed ppl being beli vocal and tat's y govt clamped dwn on chinese sch coz all the revolutions start from the chinese schs...hehe

i guess tat's the main diff bet being solely english ed and having more exposure to chinese ed.

coz chinese is not juz another language or medium tat subjects r being taught in.

it's also abt culture and morals and values whether we noe it or not, i feel the virtues r subconsciously being impacted wif the language. and tat's the beauty of chinese.

i m proud to b chinese.

i recall an argument LJ and i had in cambodia. coz she told someone tat we r NOT chinese but singaporeans. she was referring to our nationalities.
but i m quite stubborn abt tis and feel tat the statement is not entirely correct since we ARE certainly chinese, in terms of race.
guess LJ was catering for the ignorant ppl hoo tinks tat all chinese r from china.

i m even more proud of the fact tat chinese live all over the world and we r a hardy and hardworking race who has adapted well and r striving wherever we r.

being chinese, there's no way to cut off ur ties wif china and we shouldn't do tat of course.

not tat i noe any of my relatives there now but mayb someday, i should go seek my roots.
