James Kim 1971-2006

i haf been following the news on the family who got lost in the US.

I just saw the news tat the father James Kim has been found dead. Tis is so sad coz the mum and 2 daughters were juz rescued on Mon after being stranded for more than a week in Oregon's snowy coastal mountains.

Their story is heart-breaking. One can only imagine the desperation they faced while pending rescue and supplies were running out. He had set out on foot in a last attempt to save his family and it's even more irony tat he died so close to help.

While his death is mourned, I am reminded of how often I end up taking wrong turns and going the wrong way myself. Yet, tis time, the mistake has turned into a fatal one for the Kim family. My heart goes out to them and I fully understand the pain of losing a wonderful dad who cares so much for the family to his last breath and act.

When family is concerned, one cannot do too much to plan for the worst possible scenario.

This is the website for the family.

James Kim, Senior Editor at CNET, was a respected expert on cutting-edge digital devices, an owner of a trendy clothing store and a lover of the futuristic-sounding music known as electronica.
