Kudos to the staff of Veeko!

I spent the last wkend shopping for clothes for my bro's wedding with my mum. We spent hours at orchard, city hall & bedok. Went to Isetan, Metro & numerous other boutiques & neighbourhood shops but didn't managed to find anything satisfactory.

I was planning on checking out the shops at Tampines but decided to give it a miss & alighted at Pasir Ris instead. Thinking that I should get bread for tomorrow's breakfast, I went to White Sands before heading home.

Walked into Iora on the way to NTUC but nothing suitable for dinner. Decided to check out Veeko instead as they carry quite a large range of clothes from trendy to slightly more mature looks.

And oh boy! Was I glad I went to Veeko!

I am usually quite stingy when it comes to clothes. Unless it's love at first sight when I set my eyes on the clothes. But I always managed to leave Veeko with at least 5-6 pieces of clothing each of the 3 times I went there. Something worthwhile to mention is I only buy their clothes when there's a sale as I don't believe in spending a bomb on separates.

This time, they were having a SALE with prices going for as much as 85% off!!
But even more impressive was their truly outstanding customer service

I have been impressed by their customer service not once nor twice but 3 times!

Each time that I visited the store, without fail, the salesgirls' helpfulness & friendliness truely amazed me. And this is not for a regular paying customer but someone paying only 15% of the listed price of their clothes.

I have come to expect the level of customer service being proportional to the percentage of the price we pay. At a 85% off SALE, I expect to get only 15% of the level of customer service, with the crowds & mess created.

But at Veeko, the level of customer service is not compromised during sales. In fact, it's even better than some other shops on their normal non sales days

Why do I say so?

This is what I experienced the 3 times I shopped at Veeko

1. Upon finding out my size & what I was looking for, the salesgirlS brought me all the pieces they had in my size in the shop. They even recommended different styles that are suitable for me.
2. I emphasized the S as typically more than 1 salesgirl will serve me. And they do so without neglecting the many other customers in the shop.
3. They showed great empathy, honesty & candidness.
   -When I put on so much weight after Qiqi's birth, they found me pieces tat helped to disguise my fat figure. I was very grateful to find clothes tat I could fit in, much less look good in them.
   
   -When I wasn't sure if the pieces look good on me or couldn't decide on the colours, they were very honest about their opinions. This showed that they care about the customer & didn't care just about selling their wares.
   
   -The salesgirls reminded me to check the pieces as goods sold during sales were unreturnable. They even proactively helped me check & pick out the best piece among those available.

When PM Lee talked about customer service in his national day rally & showed us the beansprouts videoclip, most people would shake their heads & lamented that it's hard to experience good customer service in Singapore, not to mention world class customer service.

Well, I have experienced first hand great customer service and what a difference it made to my impulse shopping spree.

Instead of wasting my hard earned $$ on clothes tat I may regret buying subsequently, I left Veeko totally satisfied with my purchases. This is because I had the assistance of some of the most helpful salesgirls in Singapore.

Finally, let me acknowledge the salesgirls at Veeko Tampines Mall & White Sands. Thanks for your help! And what a good job!

Makeover pics

in case anyone is wondering abt my new profile picture & the 2 pictures at the end of my profile section, YESH, i went to a studio called NaughtyBYNature & had those taken. & yes, it's FOC. of course lah, i wun spend $$ to do portfolio one.

anyway, u get fotos taken in 2 outfits. u can bring ur own or wear theirs. in my case, 196 fotos were taken. den they show u how they edit the fotos using photoshop & ask if u r interested in having a portfolio done.

the image consultant who served mi was very nice but honestly i wasn't interested in seeing how my pictures r edited to picture perfect quality.
and sad to say, out of the 196 pictures, these r the only 2 presentable ones.

the rest of the fotos r quite horrid. the poses were super unnatural & i wasn't even smiling. to be honest, i didn't enjoy the experience. i haven't done a portfolio before but the studio i went to for my wedding fotos were much more professional. at least the photographer paid a lot more attention to the details of the poses & made an effort to let mi warm up.

if the purpose of the free makeover is to sell a portfolio den i guess i need to see better pictures & not all the pictures. i remember wanting to buy ALL the bridal fotos as there were all so nice. but wif this incident, it was a torture going thru all the pictures when 99% of them were unflattering. sigh....

Just a quick update, my balance in the neopian bank now reads 31,884,000NP.

now i was mentioning abt my goal. well tat's to haf 49,772,727NP in the neopian bank. why this magic number of NPs?

well, wif 49,772,727NP, i'll get 15,000NP per day from interest, which is the amount i need for the stockmarket everyday.

in other words, even without playing any games daily to earn NPs, i'll still haf enuff NPs from interest to continue buying my daily quota of stocks.

to mi, tat's the point of my neopets account being self-sufficient.

from my excel spreadsheet which i update daily wif my NP balance, i'll attain my goal in Feb 2030 when i'm 52 yrs old!! wah lauz, by den, my grandchildren oso playing neopets liao.

muz work hard at the games & pray all the stocks i own will go up to at least 45NP per share. den i sell them

came back to work last mon, after being away for a wk.

had ppl telling mi everyday tat i'm slimmed down.

??? i have stopped phyto-ing for 2 wks oredi. but i do feel a lot lighter & my pants r looser around the waist & thighs. i haf been taking slimmer's choice everyday though. totally in love wif tis product. intend to continue taking it.

conclusion : my metabolism rate has been increased to a level tat my weight lose can be sustained even after I stopped the weight mgmt program.

went to my gynae's on sat for routine check-up.

the assistant commented tat i look better. i told her tat's becoz i've shed some weight, finally.

she checked my old records. OMG! i was 57.3 kg on my last visit!

of course i look better! i'm now 8.8 kg lighter at 48.5kg! very pleased with myself now. juz need to lose a couple more kgs to fit into my size 27 jeans.

will restart the program when i'm ready. i tink u need to be mentally ready & determined when u start doing anything so tat u can persevere on & u can enjoy the process. i enjoyed my last weight lose stint & of course.......I LOVE THE RESULTS....haha

was terribly excited at getting 9,600 NP per day from interest after collecting yesterday's interest tat i decided not to withdraw the usual 15,000 NP for the stockmarket.

unfortunately, i haben earn 15,000 NP since yesterday & going restaurant hunting wif my mum now so just withdrew some NP. sob sob. heart pain ah!

now my balance dropped from 31,851,500 NP to 31,839,000 NP. still 17,933,729 NP from my target & projected date of attaining target remains at Feb 2030 when i'm 52 yrs old.

i muz work harder at neopets to reach my target soon!
